About your teachers
My name is Lauren Socha and I am thrilled to be your child's teacher this year!
I have worked in many capacities with students with special needs including ABA (applied behavioral analysis) therapist, crisis management for a teenager, nanny for a young girl with autism, teacher assistant, and teacher. My favorite part of teaching is seeing the changes that occur and looking back on all of the behavioral and academic progress a student makes throughout their school career.
We also have three TA's- Tammekka Mickens, Shannon O'Donnell, and Johnny Hall.
Together, our TA's share an incredible wealth of experience that is unmatched. I rely greatly on their expertise, wonderful work ethic, and most importantly- their care for the children who walk the halls of Washington Elementary.
In order to contact me, please feel free to email me at [email protected]. You may also call the school phone number (919) 856-7960) during school hours. This year our class is using Class Dojo for quicker communication that provides real-time feedback. If you haven't signed up for Class Dojo and would like to, please contact me by email and I will send you directions. It is a very simple system to use, and acts like a messaging service and behavior chart.
